AV C.U.F. Mission Statement

The Antelope Valley Community Uplift Foundation (AV C.U.F.) mission is to empower youth within the community by addressing mental health, physical well-being, and educational excellence through mentorship, service and philanthropy.

AV C.U.F. is an active service organization within the communities of Antelope Valley. Our focus is to provide resources and awareness to support mental and physical well-being to youth and their families within the communities through education and recreation. We seek to create a community of empowered youth by exposing them to opportunities both within the community and outside of the community.

The Antelope Valley Community Uplift Foundation (AV C.U.F.) is a 501 ( c ) (3) nonprofit volunteer service-based organization working with partners to provide social, health, educational, culturally enriching and recreational services for the benefit of at-risk youth, economically disadvantaged families and senior citizens in underserved communities located primarily in the Antelope Valley.

AV C.U.F. is a volunteer organization. Our volunteers are screened and must obtain a background check prior to working with the organization. Once cleared by the DOJ background check, the volunteers must attend a mandatory orientation on the protocols of AV C.U.F. This training includes:
• De escalation techniques
• Mandated Reporting
• First Aid / CPR Certification Required
• Appropriate Mentor/ Mentee Interactions
• Special Needs Training
• Autism Awareness

Our workshops are conducted by our volunteer facilitators. The facilitators are current college students. We believe this will help bridge the gap between our older mentors and allow the youth to better understand and relate to the curriculum.
